Markus Niederhauser, clarinete
studied with Kurt Weber, Karl Leister and György Kurtág. Member of the Swiss Clarinet Players und Soloist of the Biel Symphony orchestra and the Basle Chamber Orchestra.

Marc Kilchenmann, bassoon
studied with Ingo Becker and Eckart Hübner as well as composition with Urs Peter Schneider. He is soloist of the basel sinfonietta and a founding member of the aart-publishing company.

Olivier Darbellay, horn
Is the currently Soloist of the Bern Symphony orchestra. Winner of the „international soloist of the year 2000“award and „Tribune int. des jeunes interprètes“. Professor at the „Conservatoire de Lausanne“.

Egidius Streiff, violin
Studied with H. Schneeberger, A. Oprean and D. Takeno in Basle and London. Several tours to Asia (China, Korea, Japan), South America and Russia. His CD’s appear with the labels „Pan“, „MGB“ and „en avant“.


Hyunjong Kang, violin
Born in South Korea. Studied 1990-97 with Max Rostal and Igor Ozim in Berne. Regular appearances as a soloist, i.e. with the Bern Symphony Orchestra and the Seoul Symphony Orchestra.

Mariana Doughty, viola
Studied musicology in Cambridge University and the viola with Ch. Schiller, H. Beyerle and W. Levin in Basle. With the „Streiff Trio“, she has recorded several CD’s for „en avant“. Teacher at the Basel Music Academy.

Imke Frank, cello
Studies with Pergamenschikow, Schiff and Demenga. Goldmedal Winner of the „jeune solistes“, Bordeaux, „Premio V.Gui“ and nicati competition 2000. 1994-99 soloist of the Camerata Berne. Professor in Feldkirch.

Daniela Giacobbo, Kontrabass
Studied. Loves to play the double bass.
